Osteopathy is based on the principle that the health and well-being of an individual depends on the skeleton, muscles, ligaments and tendons functioning smoothly together.
Osteopaths use hands on physical manipulation, stretching and massage to increase the mobility of joints, to relieve muscle tension, to enhance the blood and nerve supply to tissues, and to help your body’s own healing mechanisms.
Your Osteopath will also be able to advise on posture and exercise to aid recovery, promote health and prevent symptoms recurring.

These are just a few of the common ailments that we see in the clinic. If you have a problem please do call for advice as to whether Osteopathy would be beneficial to you.
Yes, most definitely. Just let your Osteopath know (if it is not obvious yet!) at the beginning of your consultation.
Pregnancy can bring on all sorts of aches and pains in itself which is quite normal, but you do not have to put up with it!
Absolutely – My youngest patient to date was just 24 hours old referred directly from the hospital by the Obstetrician!
Babies and children are generally treated with Cranial Osteopathy. This is a very gentle treatment working with the bones that form the skull and the sacrum which is the bone at the base of the spine. It does not cause any discomfort and usually babies enjoy the attention!
I often see babies & toddlers for a broad range of problems. Here are some of the most common:
colic, glue ear, neck restrictions (only turning head to one side), gut problems to name but a few.
I quite often see babies following intervention at birth egvonteuse or forceps delivery.
If you have any questions regarding Cranial Osteopathy and whether it would be suitable for your child, please do call for further information. I am only too happy to help.
